A house built for the whole reunion
Splash ‘N Heavenly Views is not a cabin in the rustic sense. It’s a big, modern lodge on a hillside a short drive from downtown Gatlinburg — a craftsman-style front with stone accents, seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms and room for up to twenty guests. The Parkway, the aquarium and the restaurants are a short drive down the hill, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance is only a little farther.
The point of a house this size is that nobody has to be split off into a second rental. Grandparents, cousins and friends share one kitchen, one table and one set of evenings, and the number of bathrooms means mornings don’t turn into a queue.
Pool, cinema and a fireside deck
The indoor pool is the reason to book. It sits in its own bright room with flagstone edges, a raised stone spa and a small waterfall, and windows that look out to the hills — a swim that doesn’t depend on the weather. Outside, a separate hot tub stands on a covered lower patio beside a picnic table, with the ridgelines of the Smokies in front of you.
Indoors, a dedicated theater lines up rows of cinema seats in front of a wall-mounted screen, and a timber-ceilinged lounge holds the pool table and a leather sofa by glass doors onto a deck. Outside, the covered deck is the evening spot: a stone outdoor fireplace with a TV above it, rocking chairs, and a long view out over the mountains. Another deck adds built-in benches around a fire table. The full kitchen, barbecue and laundry cover the logistics of feeding a crowd.
What a crowd this size costs you
The obvious trade-off is scale. Split across a full house, the numbers can work; for a couple or a single family, you’d be paying for rooms you’ll never open. The house is also firm about its rules — no bachelor or bachelorette parties, and guests under twenty-five need a parent or guardian at check-in — so this is a family-reunion house, not a party venue.
Expect to drive for meals out and attractions; the restaurants and sights are down the hill, not on foot. And note that while the listing talks up two pools, the photos and facilities point clearly to the indoor one — plan your stay around that and the hot tub, and you won’t be disappointed.
