Close to town, facing the park
I Love View Too is one of the cabins run by Stony Brook Cabins, on the wooded hills east of downtown Gatlinburg. A paved drive leads to a stained log cabin with a gabled front porch, a few steps up from where you park. It isn’t remote — other cabins’ roofs show through the trees below the deck — but it’s far enough off the Parkway to feel like the mountains rather than the strip.
That’s the practical appeal: the aquarium and the Space Needle are about ten minutes away by car, a restaurant and a couple of coffee shops are closer than that, and Black Bear Art Gallery is under a mile off. You still drive for everything, but none of the drives are long.
Log walls, fireplaces and a covered deck
Inside, it’s pine from floor to vaulted ceiling. The living room rises two storeys, with tall windows, a corner fireplace below a wall-mounted TV and deep, soft sofas. The kitchen is a proper one — oven, stovetop and a stainless fridge — set around a chunky log dining table, and a stacked washer and dryer sits in a closet off the hallway. Each of the two bedrooms has a king bed in a log frame under a plaid quilt and its own en-suite bathroom, and one has a fireplace facing the bed. A third bathroom completes the count.
The cabin’s name comes from the back. The covered back deck holds a red rocking chair and the hot tub, set so you look across a slope of hardwoods to the Smoky Mountain ridgelines. The roof over the deck means a wet evening still ends with a soak.
Eight on paper, four in comfort
The listing allows up to eight guests but lists only two bedrooms with one king bed each, so ask where guests five to eight would sleep before you book. Two couples, or a family of four, will have room to spare and a bathroom each; a full house of eight will be tight in a cabin of around eleven hundred square feet.
The other trade-offs are modest. There are steps up to the front door, so it’s not step-free. The view is framed by trees and the neighbours are within sight, so this is a mountain outlook rather than a solitary perch. For a small group or a family with the dog who want a hot tub facing the ridges and downtown within easy reach, it does exactly what the name promises.
